    Approval Ratings

Everyone talks about how bad Bush is doing and how low his approval rating which is at 26 or 27 % but no one ever wants to talk about how low Congresses approval rating is ( which democrats are the majority) their approval is only 10 % ? Why is all this blame on Bush? It's BS if you ask me

    Re: Approval Ratings

It's Bush's fault that congress has such low approval ratings!! Isn't Congress the branch of the government that makes laws? So everything basically goes through Congress, right?

    Re: Approval Ratings

I don't think all the blame is on Bush, but his administration hasn't been anything close to successful so he will take criticism for his mistakes just like any other politician.

Though if you want more reasons Bush is kind of made fun of and picked on by the media and public. Go search George W Bush on youtube. You will be entertained for hours, the most unintentionally funny guy you will ever see.

BTW, looking forward to "W" thats comes up in a few weeks. Looks very interesting.

All legislation passed by both houses of Congress must be presented to the President. The President can veto any of that. Thats why so much blame is on him. The democrats have only had control of the House since 06'.

And Congress can over ride any presidential veto with a 2/3 vote. So the ball goes back into congress' court. And prior to what 1994 ,wasn't it?, Democrats had control of congess for 40 years. And what, if anthing, have they done the past 2? The debacle with the mortage industry has a few domocrats notably Frank and Dodd who were smack in the middle padding their pockets. No wonder they are front and center for the bailout!!

    Re: Approval Ratings

Ya can't override anything without a 2/3 majority...Bush and the GOP has basically dictated for nearly 8 years..
...And if you ain't down with that, I got 2 words for ya....
